VisitAndroscoggin.com is launched and unveiled at the Jay, Livermore, Livermore Falls Chamber meeting on August 7.

VisitAndroscoggin.com and the Jay-Livermore-Livermore Falls-Canton Mapping Project are backed by a collaboration between organizations that share an interest in enhancing and promoting the communities, environment, economy and cultural heritage of the Androscoggin River Valley through recreation. The following is a list of current project partners.

Androscoggin Land Trust
The Androscoggin Land Trust is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) membership-supported organization dedicated to protecting, through land conservation and stewardship, the important natural areas, traditional landscapes, and outdoor experience in the Androscoggin River watershed. To date, they conserve and manage over 3,600 acres of land and more than nine miles of frontage on the Androscoggin River.

Center for Community GIS
The Center for Community GIS is dedicated to the broad use and participatory application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and related digital mapping technologies. From its base in western Maine, the Center provides technical assistance, training, and educational outreach to public interest organizations engaged in community-based planning and decision-making.

Maine Outdoor Heritage Fund - The Maine Outdoor Heritage Fund (MOHF) has been helping to fund critical conservation and wildlife projects throughout the state since it was created by the legislature in 1996, in response to a grassroots effort from environmental and sportsman’s groups.
